a life beyond running shoes: at one point in time this was only my running journal. three babies have changed the content of this blog. I still love my running shoes - but life has proved to be ever so much fuller. thanks for continuing the journey with me.

.... well that would be our easter.
guess that is what happens when sunday is a work day..... and easter is the biggest work day of the year.
i did have to pass off the camera in the midst of the egg hunt and never got a chance for a family photo.... there is always next year.
the school we use on sunday mornings let us use the courtyard for our egg hunt. it was awesome! 250 jelly bean filled eggs!
Totally relate! My attempt at a family photo was a disaster - lots of tears and no pics. :( I settled for a pic of the three kiddos in the afternoon. :)
kathryn michelle (kate) sweet was born on friday, march 6 at 11:16pm. i had been to the hospital that morning for a non-stress test because my amniotic fluids were borderline low. they wanted to be cautious. i was told to go home but that i could go at anytime..... i was 3.5 cm and 50% effaced. i went home and had 4 ounces of castor oil. labor started for real 2 hours later...... we got to the hospital around 8 and were admitted. i started pushing around 10:50 and 25 minutes later she was out. it was hard and i asked for my epidural too late. whoops. we got to come home yesterday afternoon and start acclimating to life as a family of five. my mom flew in yesterday and is on boy duty. she has already done bath time, played hide and go seek, brushed teeth and changed diapers. sweet potato actually let me get a couple of straight hours of sleep last night and is doing great. they boys and mimi are off to the grocery to get us some food for the week. i am glad to be home!
as of monday, i am through my first trimester with sweet baby #3. the sweet children will out number the adults come the beginning of march. as john likes to comment about my day to day coping skills, "her body is betraying her" as i adjust to pregnancy and surviving with two small children. i still can't find our flash drive to upload pictures....i'll work on it. it requires clearing off the computer desk which exists in the middle of the living room due to the plaster/drywall work being done to patch up the hole from the toilet leak. supposedly the new hardwood floors are supposed to arrive this week.....which means we could potentially move out of the office and back into our bedroom in a couple of weeks!!! the small pleasures in life!
so, i guess we will find out! it is a girl... what on earth am i going to do with a girl? the parenting adventure continues..... i felt like it was a girl based on the difference of the pregnancy (still throwing up), but i think i assumed it would be another boy. we are thrilled and completely stumped on the idea of coming up with a girl name. completely!! don't get any ideas that she will have a name soon.
