a life beyond running shoes.

in sunday school class, little bit is known for being a willing participant. (who knew). they were learning the verse: "i am the way, the truth, and the life. no one comes to the father but through me." teacher : so we have life with jesus. does anyone here have life? little bit : WE ALL HAVE LICE! but we washed our hair, so the bugs are all dead. um....thanks, pal. we have been outed. here are we captured with our "treatment" on our heads:    we have done three different treatments: harsh chemical shampoo. a natural remedy. and a third more "natural" treatment using ceta*phil face cleaner. i have to admit i feel a bit like we have had the plague over here.... but include the general nit-picking all day every day....for the last month......and i think we might finally be victorious.  (there was a lot of bribing with halloween candy) i know what you are thinking: where did you get it? how...

sweet pea is a funny little girl. she amuses herself.... and the rest of us as well. she is a joy and delight and makes each day interesting.... so somewhere between a funk and a slump is the possibility of being a little depressed. that is okay.... i still like my kids, love them and want to eat them up.... i still like my husband, adore and enjoy him to pieces. this too shall pass...... now, if i could just get my running shoes back on.....i'm sure it would do wonders.

first, i hate insomnia.... i sucks! was home alone with sleeping babies last night and opted out of watching my brain-numbing show last night for extra sleep..... no such luck. i laid there for an hour and finally got up because my stomach got the better of me.... peanut butter.... straight from the jar! read for awhile (onto a new brain candy book, in case you are interested). finally went to be around midnight when hubbie came home. was up at 5:45... we all were.... not micah, but the three of us that inhabit the back room were. so, i hit the pool. completely different crowd than the one that i am used to at 8am. but first, i was greeted at the door by our local R&B radio station's crew & fans - they were broadcasting live from the YMCA this morning.... argh. it is too early you people. well, i had a slow swim in the slow lane. took my time.....10 minutes. spot opened up in the middle lane... i move over..... 7 minutes. it was all i could do. my body was feeling th...

1. easter with 16 friends including 4 toddlers 2. monday's 2 year check-up for micah..... he is perfect. still in the 10% for weight. getting referred to an allergist regarding the milk & cheese thing. the ped doesn't think it is significant, but we'll see. 3. micah going tee-tee in the potty twice on tuesday. 4. john being gone for two nights..... 5. kathy almost losing it on wednesday afternoon when someone was crying for about 3 hours (the boys worked in shifts, so they weren't crying at the same time). 6. the toffee that i finished..... enstroms . i finished the entire pound.... okay, i shared about three bites. 7. losing three pounds despite the consumption of the toffee and getting rid of all my post-maternity pants because they are too big for me....even though i am sad to lose how comfortable they are. 8. having a bad attitude about getting on a six hour plane on sunday with a toddler and an infant both of whom will have probably missed their nap...
