brain candy

and i loved every minute. i kept thinking that i need to send this book to my mom..... but my mom doesn't really read, so i am not sure if it would be a waste of money.

i really enjoyed all her vignettes. her love affair with her apartment, her passage through cookbooks & cooking traditions, the things she wishes she had known....

you never know

anything you think is wrong with your body at the age of thirty-five you will be nostalgic for at the age of forty-five.

there's no point in making pie crust from scratch.

i think i might just have to check this out. sounds right up my alley right now.

totally resonating with the pie crust statement. in fact, i made a quiche this morning-- well i made the filling for the quiche. the crust was frozen. but, it tasted the same to me. although, i'm sure my grandmother would balk at that statement. but i just cannot be bothered with the crust thing...

maybe i'll catch you at s.t. tomorrow? have you still been going? it's been a long time for us.
