training week #2


so i missed training week #1 because hubbie was out of town.....
so i had to catch-up this week.

only 16 weeks to go.
now that sounds too close; how will i ever be ready to run 26.2?
am i really doing this?

long run: 6 miles
conditions: 76 degrees at 6 am; 85% humidity
week total: 14 miles
weight loss: 1 pound

some personal revelation:
if you have an athletic body with virtually no body fat and wear running shorts that are smaller than my bathing suit.... feel free to pass me
BUT
if you are older than my mother, shorter than me, weigh a hundred pounds more than me, and pass me on the hill in the middle of the summer..... my ego is bruised....
i'm working on it.
ultimately it is not about anyone else but me and my pace out there.
and by the way.....she was awesome & kicked my butt!
