nothing much to report

today's run was just a normal run around the park with one small twist - we went the opposite way. molly met me a bit after our normal time, so there were more people out than normal - plus it is getting warmer (no jacket, no gloves, no hat!!!). well i brought savannah with me so that micah could have "dad" time not involving the stroller. well, i had this brilliant idea to try running the opposite way. what was i thinking...... poor molly. her stories about her trip to LA were continuously being interrupted dodging people (we were going against the flow), dodging cars, and oncoming bikers. what an annoying run it was. it was great to hear about her trip - i an envious of her tix to the KCRW show featuring death cab & surprise guest franz ferdinand. we did get excited about the queens half marathon that is at the end of april - she has a car and is wiling to drive!!!! that rules out the subway which was the major deterrent in my wanting to run it - you take the F train, transfer to the 7 train, transfer to the Q25 bus....blah, blah, blah and get there by 7:30 in the morning - no thanks! one of those rare moments when i think that public transportation might actually suck. well, thanks for running molly! stef - see you thursday! this weekend might be a fun run with my gals plus mother-in-law - it would be a treat!

and we will be out numbered....

as of monday, i am through my first trimester with sweet baby #3. the sweet children will out number the adults come the beginning of march. as john likes to comment about my day to day coping skills, "her body is betraying her" as i adjust to pregnancy and surviving with two small children. i still can't find our flash drive to upload pictures....i'll work on it. it requires clearing off the computer desk which exists in the middle of the living room due to the plaster/drywall work being done to patch up the hole from the toilet leak. supposedly the new hardwood floors are supposed to arrive this week.....which means we could potentially move out of the office and back into our bedroom in a couple of weeks!!! the small pleasures in life!

more tidbits

i find it interesting....... .......how the two boys are in sync already. apparently we had not weathered the worst of operation big boy-no paci....he cried for almost an hour. what we thought would be an early bedtime was not....then asher (who was supposed to sleep until 2) woke up at midnight only to be followed by big brother 10 minutes later "scared." .......how 20 & 30 years olds (including myself) walk around the locker room delicately covered up by the towel that is slightly too small to cover my rumpus..... and yet the 50 & 60 years old strut around with no shame. nora ephron claims that the things that we things we hate about out bodies in our 20s will be the things we long for in our 50s. funny how that works...maybe i'll lose my abandon and sit in the sauna naked as a jaybird..... naw!!! .......how fun sitting on the kitchen counter while daddy cooks is for a two year old. .......how much i want to cut my hair. .......how excited i am to have gott...
